DAY 43 - Finding Balance .. slowly..

So isn't No Bon Bons Girls about losing weight? Why all the blogs about everything BUT losing weight, and just life in general - you say?
Well, losing weight is not really the issue - BUT the desired outcome.

Have I lost you yet? OK -- loud and clear: It is NOT a DIET!! It is may be about changing your lifestyle, or taking care of your body so that you arrive at your best weight and above all feeling your best - inside and out!  You may think that if you lose weight, it will bring internal happiness - and pure BLISS.
Possibly. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT (no Jan not your butt) - what if it isn't all about the food and exercise?

Jan and I are at the point that we know we are missing something to reclaim ourselves - and although we are not getting larger - we are stuck. We need direct instructions or MANUAL .
As Jan texted me this week
- Hard to age gracefully when body betrays you so much.

EXACTLY!!  This struck me, that we are ONLY looking at part of the whole.
We need to look at our WHOLE  bodies and our WHOLE  lives!!
Until we really, really do this - our lives, bodies, minds and relationships will continue to be crap.
It is not that we are using the wrong tools, or wrong ideas to lose weight - But more that we are in too much of a hurry to FIX our bodies outside appearance. We need to fix from inside out.

Balance - until we find a balance in all of the aspects of our life we will continue our battle of just not quite getting it. Simply we cannot expect to sustain weight loss without finding our balance and dealing with the whole enchilada!

I subscribe to multitudes of blogs and websites that link to twitter and facebook and other blogs --> it is a never ending series of people that have information. Many are cooking site, mommy sites, female empowerment, writing, books, humour, marketing, self help, and swift kick in the ass sites. Most of the information is similar along my web journey, and every so often I find a WOW site. One that says things that much better, and slightly different - that really makes good honest sense. Not fluffy Law of Attraction, but words that make sense.  Basic directions. Like a RECIPE - how to fix ME.
I am in the beginning phase of picking through what I have found, and what attracts me - so what will help me fix me. I share these with Jan - and we both try on for size.

What have I found so far, while blogging all this other dribble? What is the secret to losing weight and finding happiness - or at least contentment? How do we get past thinking - if we could only turn back the clock. Or - It is hopeless - pass the chocolate bon bons and get me a beer while you are at it - thoughts.
Or better yet - Don't bug me, I will start tomorrow.

I have found  2 sources to share:

The Core Balance Diet:
how core imbalances can affect your weight and health

by Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP

The five T’s of Core Balance

  • Tune in to your body.
  • Turn down stress.
  • Treat yourself to healthy foods.
  • Tune out negativity.
  • Take care of mind, body, and spirit.

Core Balance is beautiful

“Core Balance is an ideal state that occurs when your biochemistry and metabolism are functioning well, and your core physiology and emotional health are balanced. Your body easily maintains a natural, optimal weight and you feel energized, clear, and fit. Life is good, you look great, and you’re on top of the world

 SIMPLY... EMPOWERED!  by Crystal Andrus
And NO,  I have not lost my mind ... this is all good stuff and aligns with the I CAN MAKE YOU THIN book and hypnosis CD, for  reprogramming ourselves and how to become the person we desire to be - rather than dragging our butts through life and being miserable.

This works - some parts more than others, and we all need to find our own 'fit' to achieve balance.

"Through powerful stories, detailed action steps, and challenging exercises, Crystal will help you navigate the rough waters you encounter on your journey, providing you with the tools you need to create and sustain the passionate, successful life you deserve. Tap into your inner wisdom and become simply . . . empowered!
